I started my career as a newspaper reporter, covering everything from small-town festivals to high-profile murder cases. I wrote about gang members, government spending and covered the devestating landfall of Hurricane Ike in Galveston.

In additon to my media career, I worked in marketing for an international engineering firm and as the communications director for a branch of Texas A&M University.

I'm a native Houstonian and graduated with a journalism degree from Texas A&M University. After working at newspapers throughout Texas and working as a consultant in Houston, I moved to Oklahoma City in 2016.
My husband and I have two sons, Grant and Zach. When I'm not working, I am most likely corraling wild children, trying to convice myself I enjoy exercise, or trying out a new restaurant with my husband.
